Newbridge Cottage is the perfect choice for a romantic escape with the added bonus of town convenience. Located just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Skibbereen, the cottage is reached via a beautiful riverside stroll alongside the River Ilen, giving easy access to shops, bars, and restaurants.

We like to describe Newbridge Cottage as the ultimate chill-out cottage. In the original 100-year-old cottage, you’ll find a cosy home cinema with impressive sound, a retro room for playing your own music via Bluetooth, a comfortable bedroom, and a luxury bathroom. The newer extension houses a private jacuzzi suite, along with a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a relaxed lounge area.  Wi-Fi included.

Outside, there’s a private, covered hot tub – perfect for unwinding at any time of year. While you won’t have sweeping countryside views, the river is just two minutes away, and what you lose in scenery you more than make up for in convenience and atmosphere. Relaxed, romantic, and effortlessly cool – it’s fab.

We booked Newbridge cottage as a Christmas present for each other and we couldn’t recommend it enough! Place is absolutely stunning! The cottage was cosy & warm when we arrived. It was so nice to discover the complimentary bottle of prosecco waiting for us – we enjoyed it in the hot tub outside. So much entertainment in the cottage itself: cinema room, lots of games etc. We had amazing time and cannot wait to be back!

We are just back from our stay in the Newbridge cottage in skibbereen and without a doubt we would gladly book again. What a fantastic place to stay and everything you could need is catered for never mind the added little touches such as milk in fridge, tea and coffee, fully equipped kitchen, lovely welcome message and bottle of prosecco and the bag of ice in the freezer too. The owners thought of everything!!

It’s for adults only. You must be 18 years of age to stay with us.

The nearest town is Skibbereen, which is just a 5 minute drive from The Treehouses, Barn, and Courtyard Cottage 1 & 2. Newbridge Cottage and River Lodge 1, 2 & 3 are even closer as they are within walking distance along the riverside walk to town.
